Welcome & Mission

WELCOME TO DIALOGUES - a yearlong. Spirit-led journey toward authentic, intercultural and competent ministry!

Rooted in Scripture, guided by experience, and shaped by the stories of diverse leaders, DIEALOGUES equips churches to move beyond comfort into transformational community. DIEALOGUES exists to train, equip, and accompany churches in the United States to practice authentic, culturally humble, anti-racist ministry: crossing borders, celebrating cultures, and sharing power. In submitting to one another, we bear witness to the radical love of Jesus Christ who died for all.

Theological Grounding & Origins of Diealogues

Ephesians 5:21

"Be subject to one another out

of reverence for Christ."

Acts 2

"In the last days it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. And vour sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams."

True unity in the Holy Spirit for the church includes honoring differences of all kinds. Holy Spirit unity includes and values differences requiring all persons to submit to one another out of love for Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:21). This type of submission is found in indigenous cultures and religions from which Christianity sprung up (originated in Judaism). Unity according to human will always kills differences by making differences the goal. Human will achieves the goal by making all – especially those different from the majority or accepted group – the same. In the context of the Western world – specifically the United States - this human unity is called white supremacist culture.
